The outstanding banana variety that is the current commercial variety found in the grocery stores.. 'Grand Nain' grows from 6 to 8 feet tall and produces large racemes of fruit. Bunches of fruit may weigh up to 150 lbs. (50 lbs. in the U.S.). Very attractive for landscaping potential and good wind resistance. It can be used as a container plant.
